ABOUT US & AN OLDE
WE CAN SHIP BY AIR OR GROUND SHIP....
We are 2 breeders/Ex AKC Show people in a partnership in raising Olde Bull Dogs together. We both have over 50 years combined experience in breeding and showing dogs. We both have had and bred the modern day English Bull Dog and had to finally give up do to all the problems and heartache we went through. And we all know about the modern day English Bull dog and ALL ITS PROBLEMS!! That is why most of us Olde people have made the transition into the Olde's. It is the next best thing to the English Bull dog of today. And some might agree they are really much better of a breed. Because of all the things they can do that the modern day bull dog can not do.
We breed forA type of olde THAT IS A MED. SIZED DOG. 15 inches to 18 inches tall 50 to 65 pounds. Well muscled dog with a big head full of wrinkles and large bone with think padded claw feet like a cas paw. Shorter in the muzzle but not to short that it cant breath well. The Males are 16 to 19 inches tall, 70 to 90 pounds. We breed for the LOOK OF THE MODERN DAY ENGLISH BULL DOG. Are prices range from 1000.00 to 1500.00, But usually some where in between. I try to stay in a area that every one can afford.
SO you can still have the looks of the English bull dog, But the health of the olde! The things the olde can do are SOO many. And they give and give to just please their people. Praise is what they live for They will do just about anything possible (Just for Praise & Human contact)!. and we praise our dogs so much they just try even harder to do more to please us.
Once they learn how to push our happy buttons & what earns them a cookie? They do it all the time.! I find them to be a very smart and easy breed to train. Some would argue that topic. But I have to say, with the dogs I have acquired by different ways , Besides raising them from a puppy., I have bought dogs that were only kennel raised dogs and never been inside a house B/4. And they have turned out to be the best of house hold pets!
The olde does not need much room, he is as happy in an apartment as in a huge home. It doesn't matter because all he wants, Is to be NEXT TO YOU! he is as active as you allow him to be. They love to go for walks. In fact so much they learn to ask for them. by going to the door and making a rumbling sound in their voices and looking back at you and the door, As to (say) LETS GO FOR OUR WALK! So walks are good enough for a Olde, as long as he gets out side a few times a day, He is happy.
They do love to run with all their might , Around in circles and back and forth! so a fenced yard is great, or a doggy park that is fenced in. or just a jog on leash. that's all he needs in his day. He will get enough moving around, By following you around to each and every room you walk into.
So Where ever you are in the house, Expect your Olde to be RIGHT THERE WITH YOU!! Make sure to look down if you didn't hear them walk in. Because I have tripped over mine several times,, Not knowing they came in while I wasn't paying any attention. (BAMB) There I go, head and arms first into a wall to catch myself , from tripping over not one but a couple Olde's just waiting for me, To see what room I go to next. so they can lay at my side as usual. but they get so comphy where they are that you are there. They lay down right away. And your not expecting to turn around and fall over something you did not know was there.
Olde's are the best Of house protectors They will bark and sound so TOUGH, Yet when you let the person in, The he was just barking & sounding like a trained attache dog just a second ago. as soon as you open the door and say ITS OK! Your olde is most likely trying everything he can to get a pat on the head or a lick of the hand or face of an unsuspecting person. Mine are always giving kiss's to people who come over. and some don't like dog kiss's or having wet hands and faces from dog kiss's.
So even though they protect by sounding fierce. You can trust them enough, Not to try and eat anyone who they comes in contact with. Be it friend or Foe He is smart enough to know the deal. And its up to you to teach him the rest!
Be good to your olde, And he will be good to you!
SOME TRAINING TIP'S
Train your olde as you would teach your human children.
always be consistent with your words and methods.
If it means off!!? IT MEANS OFF!!! AND DONT GIVE IN!
If you don't want your dogge to be up on the couch after running in from the outside? On a wet and muddy day? Then don't let your Olde on your COUCH ANY DAY!! That's (A NO)!
As to every other thing that common sense, Be us all able to understand. And teach these things to your companion.
A TRAINED PET IS THE BEST OF PET THERE IS!!! Go Find a Puppy/adult training class somewhere near you! its never to late to take your dog to training CLASS And besides the training part of it. Which they become to love, Because it something they get to do with you alone and by your side. They need to be socialized as well. With other humans young & old. And OTHER 4 legged furry things, as in other dogs! Its Important! TRUST ME!
This is one way to really bond with your pet/companion. And he will start to love it. As well as he will love his create if you use that in part with your training. they come to love the things we teach them. just like our children learn to respect us for the things we taught them! Dogs are the same. only they look to us as being the ALPHA DOG IN THE HOUSE!
TRAINING! ! ! Is So very Important. <WE SAY>
A TRAINED DOG IS THE BEST DOG! And you will Learn this and understand this. and use it on him for the rest of his life. Just like humans, were NEVER TO OLD TO LEARN! Or to learn more as we age. Its the same with dogs. they learn new things every day! you just are not aware of it! Listen to me when I say this is a great thing to do. And you will thank me and or who every else explained this all to you!
One thing that most people getting a dog for the first time. or just never really knew all that much about how a dog learns to do the things they do. One way a dog learns , Is by Imitation! They see us or our kids doing things. Such as sitting on a couch, they see you do it, That's why they want to jump up and sit on the couch also. your kids may run to the (window) a lot, to see who's or what's outside, And they move the curtains or blinds out of the way to look out. WELL, Your dog see that, And he learns to look out the window as well. If you stand up by your sink counter working, doing dishes or cooking. your dog sits in the kitchen watching you, even if he is laying and doesn't seem to be specially WATCHING YOU! But he is! so later when your not around. or maybe if you are even, You'll see the dog jump up to put his paws up on the counter to see what's going on up there. He knows when you feed him. you usually get his food ready from the kitchen counter area. well he may be bored and want to see if there is anything up there to eat or play with , Cuz he watches you at the counter tops. So remember dogs learn from imitations. and some we cant avoid, But we have to know in the back of our minds the dogs is going to try these things! So when and if he does, You have to be consistent with what words you pick to use, to get down or off. make sure you say the same words to your dogs for what ever he is doing. So he remembers the words and listens, and then tell him NOOOOO! when it does something bad.
And That was just a lil tid bit of info I thought some people SHOULD KNOW!! DOGS IMATATE US AND DO WHAT WE DO< SPECIALLY WHEN WE ARE NOT AROUND TO SEE IT & SCOLD THEM FOR IT.
Then if you have any of these problems. find a book or person who knows a lot about dogs. and ASK THEM WHAT TO DO ABOUT IT!.
(For instance) If your dog keeps jumping up on the counters, looking for food or is stealing things off the counters already. The thing you can do to stop this is.
TO BUY & SET A MOUSE TRAP! on the counter where you think he is jumping up close by. and place a kleenex over the mouse trap, Thats for 2 reasons. one he cant see it. two when it goes off if he gets close to it or trys to take the kleenex off the counter the trap goes off, And scares them and they wont do it again. same with a dog that digs in your garbage can in the house. use the MOUSE TRAP and set it under something so he cant see. And do this over and over and it wont take long b/4 he stops digging in the kitchen garbage or jumping up on your counter tops.
Have any questions? write to me. I dont mind helping out a fellow dog lover, With what ever I do know of. specially if the dog is making its human mad. I dont want to see any dogs going to a shelter just because you couldnt get him to stop doing some simple things that can be fixed Very easy.
